SEPARATION TOOLS

Separation tools by MAFU are suitable for reliable separation and deployment of springs which stand waiting one behind the other in the tube. 

Depending on the customer’s requirements, tools for optimizing manual workstations up to fully automated stations including self-interference-suppression are available. For each application, MAFU has the corresponding solution available.

Manual Insertion Pen

  • Insertion of springs in a component by means of the insertion pen
  • A button on the pen triggers the separation signal 
  • In addition, an insertion aid is provided in form of a setting tube 
  • Including sensors for monitoring the insertion of the spring respectively for monitoring that the spring has fallen into the component
  • Insertion pen for upgrading manual work places

  • For each feeding tube, there is one adapter for providing the springs

Looping separation with vision tool

  • Cascade system with approx. 3 to 4 cascade chambers 
  • Via sensors, the cascade nests are monitored
  • A vision-system controls the springs in the last cascade chamber
  • Wrong lying parts are turned by 180° by blowing them through a loop 
  • The looping separation guarantees processing 100% of the springs

  • Separation tool in Y-design
  • Separation of two different types of springs with the same outer diameter and also with different length of springs
  • Separation pins with end position control
  • Including measuring tool – light band micrometer, measuring range 0.3 – 30 mm, accuracy +/-2μm, repeatability +/- 0.15 μm.
  • Clocking station with 3 tube outlets. Spring 1- / Spring 2- / NOK- outlet – can be extended.
